What is K-Laser?
K-Laser is a high-power, dual-wavelength therapy laser. K-Laser’s high-energy, near-infrared beam of light penetrates deeply into the body to diminish pain and stimulate healing. First approved by the FDA for human use in 2005, K-Laser has been available to the veterinary profession for 6 years and has been used on more than 25,000 dogs, cats, and horses.
What are some of the benefits of K-Laser therapy?
Clinical studies and trials of laser therapy indicate many beneficial effects on tissues and cells, including:
-
Anti-Inflammation
-
Anti-Pain (Analgesic)
-
Accelerated tissue repair
-
Reduced scar tissue formation
-
Faster wound healing
-
Improved nerve function
What is the K-Laser treatment protocol?
Initial K-Laser therapy is typically administered for approximately 6 treatment sessions over a 3-6 week period. Treatment protocol depends on the type and severity of the problem being treated. During a treatment session, K-Laser will be used on multiple areas of your pet’s body for 3-6 minutes in each area. This is completely pain-free and comfortable for your pet. Treatment protocols are customized by Dr. Cook for your pet to obtain optimum results.
